The swirl gas flow meter is a new and mature type of gas flow instrument with strong functionality, a wide flow range, simple operation and maintenance, and convenient installation and use. Its main technical indicators meet the advanced level of similar foreign products.

When the fluid flows axially into the meter's inlet, the swirling vanes force the fluid to rotate, generating vortex flow at the center of the vortex generator. The swirl flow progresses through the Venturi tube, accelerating as it passes through the constriction. When the vortex flow suddenly enters the expansion section, it is forced into a secondary swirling motion due to backflow. If the meter features an optimized geometric structure, the frequency of the vortices remains proportional to the flow rate across a wide range, although not linearly. This frequency is detected by a piezoelectric sensor, amplified, filtered, and shaped by a preamplifier into a pulse signal proportional to the flow velocity, which is then sent to the flow integrator for computation and processing.
