The radio frequency admittance level gauge is an advanced technology developed from capacitive level measurement. It offers improved reliability, accuracy, and versatility, and is designed to address issues like material build-up and temperature drift.
In this technology, "admittance" refers to the reciprocal of impedance, which includes resistive, capacitive, and inductive components. "Radio frequency" denotes high-frequency radio waves used to measure this admittance.
Unlike traditional capacitive methods, radio frequency admittance technology measures various parameters, overcoming challenges such as cable shielding and material accumulation at the sensor base. This versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications.
During operation, the sensor measures the admittance between the sensor, vessel wall, and the medium. As the liquid level changes, the admittance value changes correspondingly, and this value is converted into a level signal for accurate measurement.
