Piston Flow Switch

The piston flow switch is a sensor device used for water circulation control, inlet/outlet water control, water heating control, pump switch control, solenoid valve on/off control, or power cut/on control of water flow in electric water heaters, solar water heaters, air conditioners, and other water systems. It converts the water flow into a switch-type electrical signal once a certain flow rate is reached.

Summary

The piston flow switch is a sensor device used for water circulation control, inlet/outlet water control, water heating control, pump switch control, solenoid valve on/off control, or power cut/on control of water flow in electric water heaters, solar water heaters, air conditioners, and other water systems. It converts the water flow into a switch-type electrical signal once a certain flow rate is reached.

Inside the flow channel of the piston flow switch housing, there is a piston containing a permanent magnet. When the water flow in the pipeline exceeds the set flow rate, the magnetic core is displaced by the water flow, causing the magnetic field to actuate the sensor to output a "1" switch signal. This signal is sent to the control system and amplified to achieve flow-based control. When the water flow drops below the set flow rate, the magnetic core returns under the force of a reset spring, causing the sensor to output a "0" switch signal to stop the system operation.
